Our Story

MMA Supplies was born from frustration. As gym owners and event promoters, we spent years dealing with unreliable suppliers, miscommunication with overseas manufacturers, inconsistent quality, and hidden costs that blew up our budgets.

We knew there had to be a better way. So we built it.

Since 2017, we've run Double Dose Performance Centre—a 600+ member Muay Thai and MMA gym on the Gold Coast. We've also operated Muay Thai League (MTL), one of Australia's premier fight promotions. Through these businesses, we've ordered thousands of pieces of custom gear: team shorts, gloves, uniforms, event merchandise, branded apparel—you name it, we've done it.

We learned what works, what doesn't, and—most importantly—what gym owners and promoters actually need from a supplier. That's why MMA Supplies exists: to give you the supplier relationship we wish we'd had from day one.

Co-Founder & Operations

Nakia has spent nearly a decade building Double Dose Performance Centre into one of Queensland's leading Muay Thai gyms. She's also the driving force behind Muay Thai League (MTL), managing everything from fighter coordination to event logistics. Nakia knows firsthand the pain of dealing with unreliable suppliers—she's placed the orders, chased the delays, and fixed the mistakes. Now, she's on a mission to give gym owners and promoters the supplier experience they deserve: transparent, reliable, and hassle-free.

Benji Wright

Co-Founder & Strategy

Benji co-founded Double Dose Performance Centre and has been instrumental in scaling the gym's operations and building its brand. His experience extends to Muay Thai League, where he's managed sponsorships, merchandise, and event branding. Benji understands the business side of martial arts—he knows what it takes to run a profitable gym and put on successful events. He's seen every supplier mistake in the book, and he's built MMA Supplies to eliminate them all.
